View Full Version : New Owner of a P22
Hello to everyone, I'm fairly new to this forum. I just picked up a new P22 5" 2-tone the other day for some cheap target practicing. My question is I'm not really sure how to take care of this hanggun. I already own a HK USP and a .38 special, but I've read a couple times on this board that between cleaning it, your not suppose to use any lube on it? Also what type of ammo do you guys suggest me to use. And is there any special instructions during the break in period.
Thanks in Advance,
Saki :)

I have two...bought them new, I clean and lube them just like any other pistol I have...I feed them any brand of ammo I can find...I have had no problems...you just need to go shoot the thing...:)

I'll clean mine again when it starts to have feeding/jamming trouble.
CCI Minimags and Stingers work great on this gun. It has a stiff spring so it likes the high velocity stuff. My pistol had some "hiccups" at the start but a quick spray of gun scrub and it performed well. It makes for a fine training pistol because the controls are similar to the full size guns.
Its a fun gun.
