pm40 locks full back w/ ammo in mag

Bought my first Kahr 6months ago and been having problems with it locking full back with full mag inserted and then racking the slide.
i'm new here so please exuse me if this has been discussed before

Your assembly pin/slide release is installed incorrectly. First unload the firearm and remove the magazine. Then remove the slide release. Line up the holes and reinstall slide release. Chances are you assembled your gun with an empty magazine in the frame, this will cause the slide release to install over the spring instead of under.

I feel stupid that it was something that easy. I have been working to much and have had no time to shoot lately. I'm only aprox 200 rounds into my pm40 so I haven't had alot of time to learn it inside out. I have been using it as my ccw over my glock 30(aprox 1500 rounds through it) because of size and heard alot of good things about it before I bought it.

Glad you got it worked out. It's a great pistol, I carry mine all the time. Hadn't have hardly any failures except for a couple battery return problems from limp wristing after a bunch of rounds.
