Big Bird

I originally posted this up in GNG and decided you all would appreciate it more so I added some pics as well.
OK, here's the Kahr P45 range report. I shot 230 rounds through the new gun today. 100 rounds of Winchester White Box 230 gr ball, 100 Rounds of Speer Lawman 230 gr TMJ, 20 rounds of Speer Gold Dot 230 gr, and 10 rounds of Corbon 185 gr.
The gun never missed a beat. Function was flawless through all ammo.
The accuracy was exceptional. At 10 yards I put the first 70 rounds through one big gaping hole that ate out the 10 ring and the edges of the 9 ring on an NRA 25 yard pistol target. The sights were dead nuts on. At 15 yards I was able to keep all but 6 shots in the 9 or 10 ring. All offhand slow fire.
The trigger is like all Kahr triggers. Compared to a Glock its a loooooong trigger pull. But its manageable and smoother than a Glock and it breaks very cleanly. But like all striker fired guns it takes a little work to get used to it.
The recoil is about like my Glock 32 with 357 Sig 125 gr Speer Gold Dots. The recoil is perhaps a little heavier but the impulse is slower than the Glock 32. It quite manageable though becuase that grip just fits you your hand so well...so you don't have to re-adjust after every shot. The checkering on the grip is pretty pronounced and even a little aggressive and I was worried it might be too rough. While it got just a tad irritating after 200 rounds its purpose is quite clear and unless you are shooting extended range sessions you are greatful for the added grip.
At 24 ounces loaded with 7 rounds its easily one onf the best packages available in 45 ACP both from a weight and size perspective.
This is my third Kahr and like the previous Kahr's I've owned it so far has proven both reliable and more accurate than manyt of my guns including several GLocks in my safe.
Its smaller in every dimension than my G-19 except one and that's height...its just a tad taller...but this lends to a better grip. You WANT all three fingers on that handle!
This gun made me smile quite a bit today...and its going to be with me in my winter jacket pocket for a while now.
This target is my first 10 yard group with the P45...that's 70 shots in that group. The Glock in the photo is a G-32 for size comparison.

A side by side comparison of the G-32 to the P-45. Notice both height difference and width difference.

Finally, the G-32 head to head with the P-45
