Im in Australia so longslides are the go here (seeing in 2003 they changed our laws in regards to minumum barrel lengths) so 34's and 35's became popular very quickly, i got a 34 ive used it to shoot Kangaroos (nothing else so far usually see goats and Pigs last trip Roos seemed to be the only game around)
Works great! i use a handload which i use a 124gn xtp and 4.6gn of win 231 works fine ;f usually double tap em as i chase or in the spotlight, drop pretty much straught away
ive also used Fed. Hydrashoks in 124 they work good too, next trip i wanna try gold dot
But yeah over all i think the 34 is good for hunting nice and accurate bit more power with the longer barrel
everyone wins

See attached. One of many game animals taken...
My daughter's boyfriend is a taxidermist in training and is going to mount this one for me.

I just got my 34 and haven't even shot it yet. But taking game with it sounds like a lot of fun. Nice shot on the badger. And shootin' Roos. Now that sounds like a real sportin' event!!!

Thanks. I would like to hunt exclusively with Glocks now, but my hunting time is very limited recently. I've had to cheat and use a rifle on deer the last two or three years because of lack of time.

But I've taken deer, hogs, coyotes and multiple small game with various handguns and more recently, just Glocks. This was my first handgun badger (actually my first and only badger now that I think about it!) and I took him w/ one of my Glock 24's incidentally on a deer hunt Thanksgiving weekend.

Glocks are the best damn handguns made period, and I am determined to prove they are good hunting handguns as well...

Take Care,
BKD

Some can be pretty tought theres a hybrid of them that are like huge and all muscle put 7 rounds from a 357 once damn that thing was tough, 40 million Roo's here thats alot of game when you think about it

Nearly. AUS has caliber limits and you have to compete in competition so often in order to have a gun, or so I've been told.

Yep spot on .38 cal restriction so 9mm, 357 sig and 38 super are the go for Auto's and you have to be in a gun club and have them registered, there is a way to get a .40 or .45 but you have to be in a club that shoots Metallic sillouhette
We used to be able to have them no problems i used to own a G22, 23, 23c plus a snub nose .44 but then came the crappy laws, we have minumum barrel lengths too hence longslides are very popular. Some states you cant legally hunt with pistols but everyone does anyway (no big deal) as for longarms well they gotta be registered too (after 1996) and we cant have Autos rifles or shotguns (or pump shotguns) you can have a pump rifle tho (figure that one)
As for hunting im finding 9mm's do ok i should get a 357 revolver cuz there still legal and they used to work great on game
k im getting longwinded again
