How the heck can a little itty bitty Kahr factory mag cost $44! It just doesn't make sense and it is a rip off.
I am going to get some more cheapie mags off Ebay for my CCW training class. The thought of letting those $44 mags drop onto a cement floor makes me cringe.
If I bugger up the $10 ones - so be it.
Does anyone know of a better quality mag than the Ebay cheapies. I have two that seems to feed OK but will not drop free as nicely as the factory mag.

I used only my extended round magazines when I went through training with my MK9. I would never drop the SS base plated flush magazine on the tarmac or in the gravel!
After training I obtained replacement plastic base plates for the ones I dinged up. I keep the old base plates for training.
Ditto on me 1911 magazines, I have plastic slam pads on for training.
I have been buying mine locally for $27 bucks - are you sure they were that much?

That is the list price quoted on the Kahr website... The price you will pay if ordered directly from Kahr.

Looks like D&R Sports is the way to go. $25 is still no bargain when I can get Chip McCormicks for my Kimbers at well under $20 but sure it beats the Kahr price.
Kahr is really ripping people off. D&R must be making a profit at $25 on the same mag Kahr sells for $44.
But I do love their guns
Thanks for the advice guys.

Guys. These magazines are hardened high grade steel. You could drop them (empty) off a building and it would be just fine. Certainly releasing it on to the concrete is fine I have done it many times and can’t even see a dent or scratch anywhere. If you buy after market mags THEN I would be concerned about drop damage from a concrete floor.

Yea, I dropped mine through weeks of training on concrete, tarmac and gravel. I just replaced the plastic base plates because the dings bothered me; the mags themselves are fine (even with the dinged basae plates)!

I guess you’ve never looked at OEM factory SIG magazine prices Coffin Filler (By the way, I like that "user name"! ^c)… those go anywhere from $39.95 to $59.95 & that’s BEFORE any shipping charges are figured in!
Good mags tain’t cheap!
Just do what I do... watch www.eBay.com www.gunbroker.com & www.auctionarms.com (I also see them from time to time here in the GT “Want Ads”) for the Kahr factory OEM mag auctions... I personally have never paid more the $25 shipped for a NIB factory OEM Kahr mag doing it this way. ^c
Mag prices are ridiculous. I try and get mine from distributors like Simmons in Spring Hill Kansas but they only sell to FFL holders. It just so happens that I am friends with an FFL that will drop by Simmons and pick up whatever I ask for. I have been getting spoiled with dealer prices on just about everything and it is now making it hard to part with my hard earned money for something I might be able to get cheaper but I might have to wait a month or so before the next trip to Kansas. I am just waiting on Ed Brown dealer price ;f but that will be the day.
BTW, Thanks for the DNR link.
Coffin Filler wait on the Ebay mags. There is some bad scuttlebut about a vendor out of Alaska or something. The guy sells Kahr mags as factory and they are not. Be on point.
There was a post about a fellow GT'er getting ripped off and everybody chimed in on how Ebay is a crap shoot.
Just thought I'd give you by 0.02.

Thanks for the warning.
I had heard about this guy after I bid $50 for two of his mags!!
Some poor guy beat me out at the last minute - I got lucky.
The ad he runs is deceptive. He has a website too.
Just looking out for a brother.
