I was reading an article that Glock might be developing a longslide .45 ACP for IDPA. Is this a rumor or fact? That would be awesome if it is fact.

I would say it is largely RUMOR. If they are developing it, I doubt they would be doing it for a shooting sport.

Now they may be designing it to get a shot at a potential large Military or Law Enforcement contract.....

Very nice Chuck!
BTW, which brand of slide is that?
The barrel looks blued, is it?

Thanks. The one in the pic is actually Coloradoglocker's. I need to find a host for pics. I believe he has a Jarvis 6" .45acp barrel, which is blued. I have KKM both for my .45acp and 45-10mm barrels. Lone Wolf Dist (208-437-0612 ask for the armorer Danny) has the slides and both Jarvis and KKM barrels, etc. Definitely worth getting. I can't put mine down.

I think Glocks big surprise should be that they are coming out with a .45 ACP and 10mm longslides.

I personally would buy both, as the Caspian slide with Barsto barrel just does not cut it.

After purchasing a G34 and 17L I am hooked on longslides for their accuracy.

I think nickE 10mm stole the show with that pic.
I let my G-20 get away from me, and I'm having big bore withdrawl.
I was leaning twords an H&K USP .45, but the Glock big bore longslide was the deciding factor.
Thanks for the great pix fella's.

nickE10mm, you have the Bar-Sto barrel, don't you? It looks a mm or so longer. I'm not too big on the OD green, but it looks pretty dang slick on a longslide.

Thanks for the compliments....

The BarSto IS a little bit longer than the KKM's I've seen on other G20Ls.... I'm not sure why, but for me it doenst matter either way. (Actually, the longer barrel the more velocity I can get)

I'll leave you another pic since you like em'.... :)

He's right.... Behold, ColoradoGlocker, a pioneer of sheer firearm perfection. A true gentleman. We all owe him a debt of gratitude.

Hey Steve, we really need to get out there with some HOT .45 Super loads and wring out these beasts. Its the holidays, maybe I'll get a .45 bbl from Santa...;a

Do you need another barrel to shoot .45 Super?

nickE10mm

Just a .45ACP barrel.... I just don't have my barrel/mags yet, whereas I believe ColoradoGlocker does.

Excellent, so I just need some ammo then.

That is correct, my friend, however I would definitely step up your spring to at LEAST 22 lbs and maybe even a 24lb or 26lb. My 5" Kimber was converted by Ace Custom (he invented the .45 Super). He runs a total of 32 lbs of spring in it with a buffer, better extractor and heavier FP spring.

You're using a Glock 20L so I would say 22-26 lbs of spring would be good, but not totally necessary.

I'm running a stainless captured guiderod in my G20L right now with a stock 17lb spring in it, but the actual REASON i got it was so that when I got setup to shoot .45, I would be able to change spring weights out easily.

Sweet! I've got a SS rod and 22 lbs. ISMI spring. One screw up, though, I didn't get the LCI extractor.

I ordered the wrong Spring Loaded Bearing from Lone Wolf. Hopefully I can change it before they process.

ColoradoGlocker- I look forward to those chrono results :)

Chuck TX- I have used both Spring Loaded Bearings (old AND new style) in my G20L and both seemed to function. Its my understanding that the "new" version is smaller than the old version.

Just got it today. I managed to get the order changed before it went out. The size difference is negligable. Either one probably would work fine. There is a noticeably large improvement with the LCI extractor though. Should have never let'm talk me out of it in the first place.

I like the barrel poking out like that. It looks meaner for some reason.

Either way the G20/21 projects rock. If I wasn't so dead set on modifing my Saiga 12, I would be doing one right now.

Yeah that and the longslide one.

I am soon to have a long barrel G21 (6" KKM .45 barrel). I can't wait!
