I know it would have to be registered just like an entire firearm but I have been eyeing a P9 for a while. I already have a P9 covert and would love to be able just to sway the barren and upper instead of the entire gun.

An interesting prospect... There's no legal reason. The slides and barrels are not hand fitted to the frame (e.g. unlike a 1911). It's only a logistics issue; will Kahr sell it that way...?
Though in concept you P9 Covert with an extended magazine is nearly the samething as a P9...
Which brings up another point. I'd like to see a base plate on the extended magazines that match up to the grip better, look more esthetically pleasing and fits the hand better...
Just get the P9 so the other hand has something to hold!!:)

Yep, It would be perfect if Karh or someone else had a mag sleave that gave you the full grip feel. They make them for the XD subs. I just like carrying a full grip depending on what I am wearing and that little mag extension is OK but just dont seem right. Its like carrying a G19 with a G17 mag. Sure you would use a 17 for backup but not in the gun while in the holster.
