I'll start

1. Taurus or S&W 9mm and .45 cal moon clip fed snub revolvers (http://www.taurususa.com/products/product-details.cfm?model=905I-B-SH1&category=Revolver)
2. Taurus .22 magnum pump and lever action rifles. Centerfire models too. (http://www.taurususa.com/products/products-rifles.cfm)
3. Side by side shotguns for home defense.
4. Marlin Lever action .410 gauge shotgun (http://www.marlinfirearms.com/firearms/leverActionShotgun/410.htm). a .410 gauge shotgun loaded with rifled slugs is going to be a good defense rifle. But it's still technically a shotgun and therefore, civilian legal.;f
5. Taurus .410 gauge revolver (http://www.taurususa.com/products/product-details.cfm?model=4410TKR-2B&category=Revolver)
6. 10 or 12 gauge lever action shotgun.
7. Norinco clone of Winchester 1897 shotgun and Remington 870 with 14" bbl.

I'm with New_Comer,

specifically firearms with historical significance in the Philippines: Krags, Mausers, trapdoors, Lefaucheaux's, Schofields, Colt SAA's, GI 1911's, Garands, Liberator 45's, etc...

I see a display like that, and I'm bound to buy SOMETHING from a number of booths.

Technically, only 50 rounds per licensed firearm. That's the maximum ammunition you can possess as indicated in your FA license.

But then again. . .

P.S. Please do not forget to bring you FA license with you to the gunshow if you plan to purchase some ammo. It's a pre-requisite prior to purchase for some gun dealers.

PMMA97
12-30-2005, 20:53
Even without an FA license some dealers would let you buy any number of ammo on any caliber but they will not issue a sales receipt. WTSHTF. Deniability I guess.

Yeah. They don't want to share the cell with you in case you're caught. Not enough room and vent. ;f

I am assuming here that you will be bringing the ammo back to Bohol.

Legally, the best way is to place and pay for your order at the gun show with the gun dealer of your choice. Then arrange for him to ship it to your residence. I am sure that if you buy in bulk, they will do more than oblige with your shipping instructions. Of course they'll bill you extra for this, but what the heck. . . better safe than sorry.

This will also save you on some hard time explaining to the airport police why you have 500 rounds of .40 cal S&W ammo seen thru their X-ray machine.

Happy New Year. :)

Initial impressions ko kanina:

1. GLOCKS RULE! - Those black 'sabers' are everywhere! Prices so tempting it would be a shame not to bring home one... and I'm really ashamed of myself ;g

2. I can't believe I'm saying this, BUT Nashe saved the day for HK's! Their USPs are priced much less than that of Magnificent(?) by at least 15K! and they displayed one of the guns I really ached to see, the Keltec P-3AT. That's one mean bug gun at .380cal! I'd slip one into my jockeys and noone would notice I'm packing. The G26 is HUGE compared to it.

Hooray to Nashe!

3. O/U shotguns galore! from the lowly Akkars at 37T to the quarter mil Beretta's and Fabarms. Man, they're all over the place. Goma was there selling those clay throwing devices for trap shooting

4. A lot of non-lethal security devices ranging from electric fences, tasers (?), bulletproofed windshields, even a milling machine are on display (Why it's there I have no idea)

5. Bullets, bullets, bullets... A lot of them were there, nice prices too on Fiocchi frangibles and remington UMC's

6. No airguns on display except at armscor. why?

Balik na lang ulit sa Sabado. Maybe more to see then. ;f

USP9's go for 70K, USP45 for 75K, Tactical for 120K IIRC. There also are brown and gray framed USP's! Cute, parang candy.

G26 for 34K, G27 for 35K plus konting butal. Yung mga 45's nila nasa 40K. Kahit saan store meron. Pero ke BOG deenoh ka na lang bumili

Sayang, no 10mm guns on display. Me stock pa naman si PBD 10mm ammo. Kahit Makarov meron sya

A new player almost made it to the gunshow, FILARMS. Unfortunately, I think they had problems with stocks. But, watch out for them, their AGs will compete with imported AGs in terms of performance and design minus the price.

Wish ko nga lang kung naibalik sana yung mga Weirauch break-barrel airguns ni PBD from two years ago, baka nakapaguwi ko ng isa. Pero wala e. Di bale, hintay ulit.

About dealing with Nashe, buti na lang di ako buying mood, selling pa nga e.

jj, we had to ask for a glock to make a fair comparison. Iba talaga yung steyr. :) At first i thought when i saw the steyr sa pics, siguro ang taas ng bore sight nyan like sigs which recoils more than glocks, but when i got a hold of it hindi pala. The only thing i don't like about it is the slippery grip but i'm sure a few grip tapes can fix that. :)

is the steyr the same as a few years ago? if its the same ,I remember reading an article that said that it sits low in the hand or it already has a high grip like what we do to our 1911's when we install an edbrown beavertail. that it tames recoil better.

Personally, it's the blockiest polymer gun I've seen, especially after they incorporated the accessory rail, Not ugly, but blocky. Ugly - I give to the Barak. The XD and USP are much thinner compared to those two. I can already imagine the difficulty it would take to carry that IWB.

A lot of shooters swear by it, but I vaguely remember an issue about 5-6 years ago on the slide jumping off its guide rails, attributed to design flaw, resulting to its slow adoption. Hope they fixed it since.

I'm still here in Bangkok and had the chance of going to Wang Burapa, its gunstore haven here. Grabe! I finally got to see, hold, and dryfire the SP01! Very expensive, Its sold here at 70,000 TB. You can just imagine how much it would retail in the Philippines;g

Firearms, parts and ammo are very expensive in Thailand. Went to ****et in 1997 and chanced upon a gun club there. I inquired about the price of ammo and it cost THB 15 per round for a .45 ACP reload! Range fee and gun rental extra.
