View Full Version : polished the feed ramp (dam)
Polished the feed ramp on my pm9 to day. DAM racking the 1st round was a hole lot smoother. I did not think that it would help that much but it did. You would think they would do this at Kahr. ? should I do my g17 also it seems fine.

Yup, I've polished every feed ramp is every 1911, Kahr and NAA I own. It can only help. As long as you don't change the dimension it cannot hurt.
Use power if you must with mild abrasive/polish or do it by hand, but don't get the Dremel in there with an agresive abresive.
The only one that is not done is the 92FS which has no real ramp...
They do this at Kahr only on the Elite 2003s.
I would do my Glock if it was a stainless barrel, but I have no experience with Glocks... I might look for advice first.

Your Glock will be fine if you polish the feedramp. I did it on my G36 and there were no adverse effects. I also do it on all of my handguns.
