I know that it is a little heavy, but is the Ruger snubby to big for PC. How do you folks carry if not?

I thought about carrying an SP101 in the pocket but I find it too large. I carry IWB in a HBE COM3 horsehide holster. Its the most comfortable holster I've ever worn. My wife carries her SP101 OWB in a Del Fatti pancake style holster. She reports high comfort levels as well.

I normally carry the SP101 in a Don Hume IWB, but on occasion, if the pockets are big enough, I slip the the SP101 in an unkle mike's and slide it in my pocket. It can be concealed this way. I would consider it about as concealed as IWB, but not as concealed as a Smartcarry or a belly band under the shoulder. The SP101 is my favorite handgun. A must have for me. =-)

I have no trouble carrying one or even two SP101 snubbies in pocket carry, but not all pants have large enough pockets. Depending on the pants, I have used Uncle Mike's and Desantis synthetic pocket holsters and the leather pocket holster from Galco.

SP101 snubby - Pocket Carry?
Unless you are required to go COAT/JACKETless I wooould go on E-Bay
www.ebay.com and type in shooulder holsters. I use a Bianchi R9 holster for my SP-101. It is usable as a shoulder holster or belt holster. I got my holster for less that $60.00. It sold new for over $100.00.

When i do carry the 3" SP101, i do it mexican carry, or use a Don Hume JIT slide holster, it works very well for that gun.

i have an sp101, and..........
its the gun to carry when im not carrying or i cannot carry... ;f

and i carry it in the pocket, owb, ankle,or shoulder rig. i use a hogue monogrip for shoulder and owb applications, and i use badger boot grips for pocket, and ankle carry. i have a few speedloaders for it as well. its a 357mag, but i run 38special 135gr speer gold dot HPs through it. ;f
the sp101 is a must have for me too!
so is a gp100 6" stainless. they just compliment each other.
i had a j frame and i wasn't impressed. ive had a few smiths and i dont see what all the fuss is about..

Two of the really great things about the small stainless 357 snubs are

-- 1.Their weight helps you shoot the effective full-power 125 grain 357 loads and still make follow-up shots pretty fast (and get a Marshall number of about 92%).

-- 2. And you can put them in your pocket when you WANT to, because they fit, even if you don't carry that way all the time.

+1 for the full hose 357s. i used to carry with hydrashock 158gr hollow points, and kept speedloaders stocked with the 135gr 38special gold dots (grip issues with 357mags and my aftermarket grips) but i decided to keep it simple and carry and reload with the 135gr 38s. they reach faster velocities and expand better than anything else in a shorter barrel. (38special+p 135gr speer gold dot hollow point ammo)
