Hanging out around this forum, and listening to my friends, has got me wanting to get back into paintball.

I've been loking at some different markers, but am leaning toward going back to Evil. They have a new version of the Omen out (2.0). I owned the origional version and loved it. They also have a marker called the PIMP KIT that I am really liking the reviews on.

I was just wondering if any of you have had experience with the PIMP KIT or Omen 2.0. Do any of you have and other suggestions of markers that I should be looking at in the sub 1k range? I am trying to stay around $500 if possible.

If you want a good, new, marker set up for $500 or less you should look into the Smart Parts Ion. The marker runs less than $300, leaving you money for a hopper and an air set-up. It is nice and reliable (one of the guys on our team has one and hasn't had any trouble with it) and is plenty fast. There are a lot of Ion haters out there because it is an inexpensive marker that can hold it's own with more expensive markers, but it is a really great buy for the money.

I still have my Nitro Duck 68/3000 fiber tank so that is taken care of. I will look into the Ion, but I do remember hearing the haters as you mentioned.

ION, you cannot beat it for the price. I sell them in my shop all day long.

My buddy has a fairly nice Ion, but I outperformed it with my old Omen in almost every aspect. I was just too pleased with Evil the first time, so it is making it harder for me to look at other guns right now.

I'm trying to hold of buying anything at the moment though b/c I have a pretty big car project going.
