Howdy:
During lunch today I had a chance to practice with my Kahr PM 9mm (9093) at Evans Shooting World (indoor range) in Orange, CA. Purchased in June 05, my Kahr (VA59XX) now has digested 2,700+ rounds w/o any intentional malfunctions (one induced failure to feed). Need it or not, I will change the recoil spring and guide assembly after 3,000 rounds.
Shooting in the adjacent bay was a Riverside County Deputy Sheriff who was shooting a Springfield XD 9mm. I couldn't resist asking if he would like to try my Kahr handing him my unloaded weapon safely along with two loaded clips. His results (7 yards) were as good or better than when he was using his Springfield XD! He was surprised the Kahr recoil wasn't as harsh as he expected. He did comment on the long trigger pull but all of his rounds were grouped in the red, center mass.
He asked questions about the price and my night sights. To say the least, he was very impressed!!
