BAAAAD TRIIIIIPPPP!!! All 4 Chinese fighters won their matches DECISIVELY tonight! Even our best bet and champion MARK SANGIAO lost via knockout to his opponent. He dominated most of the fight until he gave one small opening for a split second and BAM! Shin kick right to the jaw. Down goes our champion. Iba talaga kalibre ng chinese fighters. Their most INEXPERIENCED fighter has at least 20 fights under his belt. One of their fighters even had 60+. Haaaay naku. Maybe next time.....

Barilan nalang.... :soap:

Hi bro, would the fights be televised soon? If our Pinoy fighters fought a good fight then it is OK, taas noo pa rin dapat, beaten but unbowed and still proud! After all, they fought against guys that practically grew up and lived their lives mastering martial arts. Plus the fact that they invented or revolutionized martial arts / fighting. God bless!

Our story begins at the Olympics, specifically the wrestling
event. It is narrowed down to the Russian or the American for the
gold medal. Before the final match, the American wrestler's
trainer came to him and said, "Now don't forget all the research
we've done on this Russian. He's never lost a match because of
this "pretzel" hold he has. Whatever you do, don't let him get
you in this hold! If he does, you're finished!"

The wrestler nodded in agreement. Now, to the match: The American
and the Russian circled each other several times looking for an
opening. All of a sudden the Russian lunged forward, grabbing the
American and wrapping him up in the dreaded pretzel hold!

A sigh of disappointment went up from the crowd, and the trainer
buried his face in his hands for he knew all was lost. He
couldn't watch the ending.

Suddenly there was a horrible scream, and a resounding cheer from
the crowd. The trainer raised his eye just in time to see the
Russian flying up in the air. The Russian's back hit the mat with
a thud, and the American weakly collapsed on top of him, getting
the pin and winning the match.

The trainer was astounded! When he finally got the American
wrestler alone, he asks, "How did you ever get out of that hold?
No one has ever done it before!"

The wrestler answered, "Well, I was ready to give up when he got
me in that hold, but at the last moment, I opened my eyes and saw
this pair of balls right in front of my face. I thought I had
nothing to lose, so with my last ounce of strength I stretched
out my neck and bit those babies just as hard as I could. You'd
be amazed how strong you get when you bite your own balls!"

The Chinese fighters were primarily Muay Thai trained but also had a lot of groundfighting work. Halos pareho naman skills ng Pinoy fighters eh. We even had better hand striking technique because of the level of boxing training we get here. It's just that the Chinese have a lot more experience. NHB( no holds barred) and MMA M(mixed martial arts) fight circuits have been up and alive in china for quite some time now. Sa Pinas barely a decade palang. GAGANTI rin TAYO! Dapat nga nangagat nalang tayo ng itlog.....

cznayr: Alvin is chairman and founder of URCC. I don't think he will compete. He's training to fight abroad next year though.

Early next year pa telecast ng URCC. Mauuna lumabas yung VCD. There's another MMA competition this Saturday sa Metrowalk called FEARLESS FIGHTING. Can't post details kasi rival group yung nag organize.;e I'll be there just the same (para manglait at pagtawanan fighters nila...);a

Bikethief,
Does Deftac give franchises? Nakita ko may deftac dumaguete

bikethief
12-13-2005, 08:04
Deftac Dumaguete is handled by Henry Teves. Contemporary and business partner rin nila Alvin Aguilar and others. It's not exactly a franchise kasi same group din naman nag set up. There are even plans of a DEFTAC Singapore next year. One of the instructors here is planning to move there. Kung may BOG's interested in jiu-jitsu and/or mixed martial arts just tell me! Masaya and nakakabuhay ng dugo!

Most of the dojos or gyms teaching martial arts are down south (Las Pinas, paranaque, in my alma mater though illegitimate club ang Sarian dun).. Wala ba ba banda q.c. or Manila?
