View Full Version : Kahr T9 & CZ 75B side by side pic
I thought it might be interesting to compare Kahr's largest model, the T9, with CZ's flagship model the 75B. Both are 9mm. The T9 is still shorter and thinner. By the way, the CZ 75B is a fantastic pistol. Extremely accurate and reliable. Would be a great addition to your collection if you want to diversify. Below are the factory specs. for both models. All measurements in inches, weight in ounces.
_________Length__Height__Width___Barrel__Weight
Kahr T9___6.5_____5.0_____.90_____4.0_____28.1
CZ 75B___8.1_____5.4____1.40_____4.7_____34.7

Yup, I’ve got a “soft spot” for CZ’s myself ;):

Thanks for the comparison MtnDewd! ^c
You're welcome Michigun! I've read many informative posts of yours and have enjoyed them. I too have a soft spot for CZ's. I also have the sub-compact RAMI in 9mm and really like it too. I still wouldn't part with my Kahrs though!

Althouh I am also a CZ fan, isn't it a bit like comparing apples with oranges? Magazine capacity, for once, general purpose classification (defensive, combat). There are a lot more differences than similarities between Kahr and CZ 75.
Just my 5 cents worth.
Just trying to promote discussion Mecenas1991. Obviously, they are different pistols. But isn't it nice to read a post once and a while that is not just belly aching about the latest problem with a polymer Kahr? Just trying to mix it up a little and keep it interesting! Even threw in a pic for free!

For the limited purpose of generating a discussion different from complaints I applaud your post and certainly appreciate your photo. To yours I could probably add a picture of me firing a full auto CZ at the Tbilisi (Georgia) Special Forces range some four years ago. I just have to find it.
Thanks

here is CZ full auto. Please note selector and the spare mag that is cleverly attached as a forearm. Also note an extended barrel.

.... and here I am firing one magazine full in auto mode. Great accuracy for 15 rounds going out in a few seconds. The target: bunch of tires about 20 yars away.
Hope you enjoyed it and I am sorry for being slightly off Kahr topic.

Way cool photos!
Thank you for sharing. It must have been fun!
And I must add, sir, that you are one of the most well-dressed men I have seen on a firing range! ;c

Thanks for a nice compliment. I was on an official business in the former Soviet Republic of Georgia and that day I was visiting with their Special Forces. They took me to their range and there was simply no time to change into a more appropriate attire.
Thanks for the interesting pics and info. mecenas1991. I have a question. Is it a safe assumption that the Soviet (Georgian) special forces are using CZ's since that's what they let you shoot at their range? If so, that's a pretty good endorsement for CZ. Also, what caliber was the one you fired?
Thanks,
MtnDewd

Actually the one I fired was issued to the commander of one of the special force units (anti-terrorist). As far as I know these were only issued to the command staff.
These full auto version of CZ 75 pistols are only made in 9mm Parabellum (9x19) caliber. You must remember that the photo was taken in 1999. Since then the US put several army units in advisory function in Georgia and since the March of 2005 election of new president (Mikhail Saakashvili) who is an American educated (NYU) lawyer - the armament of special forces most likely changed.
Again I must apologize to the Kahr fans as this CZ topic doesn't belong here. In the future, PM would be appreciated.
