View Full Version : PM9 trigger pull too long

First off, THANKS TO ALL WHO ANSWERED MY LAST POST "BUYING A PM9! ANSWER A FEW QUESTIONS?" You all helped me out a lot!
Between yesterday and today I fired my new PM9 225 times. Not a single malfunction!!! I used several loads and it ate them all like candy! The weapon fires great!!!
I do have two small complaints.
FIRST: The checkering on the backstrap bites into my palm with a hot load. Any sugestions on how to soften the grip w/o taking away from the hold and not adding too much bulk? A good slip-on grip maybe?
SECOND: I find that the trigger pull is a little long. Smooth, but long. I'm used to Glock triggers so this trigger feels like it takes forever to break. Is there a way to lessen the length of pull?
Thanks,
John

Philly K-9,
Can't help you on the trigger pull, I love my PM9 trigger.
I reccommend A-grip from Brooks Tactical to soften up the grip.
You can get them on the Kahr website for about $20.

Get a handall, Jr., from Hogue. It will make your 9 a completely different gun.

Philly', The PM9 already has the "premium" Elite trigger so I don't think you can do much to make that better.
If the backstrap bothers you with "hot loads", my philosophy on that is "who cares" because you're not using them as daily fodder, right; and you'll never notice in the heat of a firefight... Oh, if you do use them for daily range use (shorten the life of the pistol...?) then I agree that you should get a Hoque Handall Jr.

In my eyes you’ve got only one grip covering choice here… AGrip! ^c (virtually adds NO thickness!)
Or, you could always just use a shooting glove with extended range sessions.

Nothing like that currently.
I threw my Handall away. It moves while shooting. Try a piece of bicycle innertube.

+27 on the Agrip! :)
A few passes with 320 grit sandpaper.
For the backstrap...the trigger you are stuck with...:)

The trigger pull doesn't get shorter but it does get better the more you shoot it.
I ordered myself an Agrip for my P40 Covert today.
Try a piece of bicycle innertube for the grip.
For the Trigger I suggest you put a 3.5 Connector and a NY1 Trigger in your Glocks. This will make all your triggers relatively similar. It's what I've done, and I love my Kahr.
Good luck and I'm glad you like your Kahr.
