So, did anyone operate the 10-meter contest this weekend? I listened a little bit on Saturday and could not hear any activity.

I sure did

Made 200 casual Q's and didnt work anything really special. I worked ZL6 on cw and S9SS on phone but even those are still easy countries on most bands. Sunday around 1pm, the bands were really good.

DX worked
PJ2
ZL
S9SS
VP5
P40
FM
LU
HR
CX
XE
KG4
PZ

I picked up 3A on 40m cw at midnight Sat night/Sun morning for #243

I will just be glad when the solar cycle starts to improve. 10 is a lot of fun when it is going strong.

I've been playing alot on 30m lately. What a fantastic band. I built a 1/4 wave vertical which is fed 6' above the ground. I have 32 tuned 1/4 wave radials and it plays like a champ.

10m is fun, I have over 150 DXCC on 10m. However this time of the cycle, 20m during the day and 40m overnight is where the DX stays.
I am working stuff on 40m cw every night which are new ones on that band.

I was looking at my HF log the other day and I had only two contacts on ham freqs for 2005. Most of my HF is on MARS right now. Maybe I can do some during the Christmas/New Year vacation. I like working the special event and club stations. Worked KH6BB on 10-meters one evening. He was calling CQ and no one was answering. Worked him with my HTX-10 and a dipole. Here is my "web page". I have not updated it for quite some time now. http://www.qsl.net/wd9cyi/
