Best nights for a G19 ????

And Mepros for me! (Todd, I think I'm going to yank the Heinie/Dawson sights off G17 No. 2 this week--finally--so you may actually get them before Yule! Haven't decided what to replace them with: Mepro adjustables and Bo-Mars are under consideration, as are factory STEEL sights, if I can ever get a set.)

I've got Mepro's, Tru Glo's, and Trijicon's on 3 different guns I own rught now.

Trijicons kill the others hands down if brightness is what you're after.

I'm in the process of dumping all my Trijicons for Meps. I've found that, while they are approximately equal in the dark (slight edge to the Meps), in the light, I am much faster on target with the Meprolights.

After giving much though over the years, I feel that either the Ameriglo Operators in yellow/green or the XO Sights Big Dot 24/7 are the best choices for an all-around G19 set up for defense or practical competition.

I'd like to try some TFOs, if my budget werent so tight.

Tru-Glo tritium fiber optics are, in my opinion, the best. You have outstanding night sight capability, and during the day, the fiber optics pick up all available daylight so it appears about the same night or day.

I placed all 3 TruGlo, Trijicon, & mepro's sie by side and TruGlo TFO was equal in total darkness and progressivly better as light source increased. TFO'c are my choice.

Have to say that after 250 rounds of fire today, the TFO's are amazing, the front sight isn't as fat as the stock glock sight so its more precise, i was able to tighten up my groups at 30ft ranges with just the sight change.

I've tried Mepros & Trijicons on various models, but the hands down winner is Heinie Straight 8s. They provide an EXCELLENT sight picture both day and night. Love 'em!;a

I'd go with sights that either have two different colors, or have either a vertical alignment to them or a bar dot configuration. I hate the 3 green dots on my glock. I do not find them to align quickly at all. When I quickly draw, I find it takes a second to make sure I have the 3 green dots in the right order.

This is another reason I like the Heinies. 2 dots, Figure 8. There's no way to get them in the wrong order. I prefer the Slant pro version for carry.
