I purchased a P9 a while back as a CCW. Im thinking about picking up a T9 as a range gun and sometime CCW. IM looking for input from T9 owners as to long term T9 use as in will this gun handle thousands of rounds as a regular shooter.
While only having my T9 for about a month now, I would say that this gun should last a lifetime. Occasionally change the recoils springs and other maintainence/cleaning and it should serve you well for many years to come. I bought it for a range gun but found it could easily be carried for my CCW.

I too, believe it will last a lifetime. I bought a T40 for belt carry -- partnered with the PM40 in the right front pocket. Both guns have made it through a 250 round "break-in" without a problem.
To me, the T-series Kahrs are very close in size and weight to my other favorite carry weapon, the HK P7M8.

I too have thought of getting a T9. I also Have a p7m8 and can not quite figure out what would be the point of the T9. (except to fill my safe which is not all bad). Why would anyone with a p7m8 need or use a t9?

That's why I chose the larger caliber in the T40 -- the only reason to grab the Kahr over the P7.
The reason for the T9 or TP9 is that it is a point and shoot. It has a very simple manual of arms. As much as I likes my squeeze cocker I sold it since the manual of arms was so different. Of course, if I had only one gun and hence only one manual of arms to worry about, and it were the H&K, I'd have kept it. But to paraphrase that fool who almost became our president, "Whom amongst you has only one gun"?

To me, the manual of arms arguments are over rated. All guns have some differences in the manual of arms. Some have external safeties, some have decockers, some safeties are released with an up motion -- others are released with a down motion. As stated the DAO Kahrs have nothing much to worry about but point and sueeze the trigger. But for the life of me, I have never failed to instinctively squeeze and pull the trigger on a P7 when pulling it out of the holster -- even when shooting other pistols in the same session.
Another member made a very appropriate statement in another thread about the differences of driving a vehicle with a manual transmission versus an automatic. I have both types of vehicles -- when I get behind the wheel of one I have no problem subconciously doing the right things necessary to operate the vehicle. I could park it and jump into the other vehicle and be just fine behind the wheel.
If someone wants to use the "manual of arms" issue as a reason to sell off a P7 -- whatever floats your boat. As for me, I think it is one of the simplest pistols to effectively operate and shoot accurately. I do like my Kahrs too...but, I like all my guns.
