Ruger PC4 Carbine to be Discontinued ??

I saw on the Web that Ruger may discontinue this neat little gun - the PC4 40 cal carbine. A guy posted that a rep at Ruger said so.
I have not confirmed this, but ordered one just in case.
I've had the PC9 9mm carbine for a while and really like it, and I see only good things written about the 40.

It's in the new 2006 catalog. However, would not surprise me since the Hi-Point is the better weapon and a lot cheaper than the Ruger. It's ugly, but at $200 bucks I'm sure it has taken away some of the market from Ruger

;P Are you serious? The Hi-Point is a pos. I have one and it is a POS. The carbine was really made for LEO's who carried Ruger side arms. I know of a few departments locally that have them. I can't say that I know of any police trusting the Hi-Point.

The Hi-Point is a fun little $150 rifle, but its not in the same league as the PC9 or PC4. I have a HP and enjoy shooting it, but I wouldn't depend on it to save a life. Maybe there are some LEO's that use the Hi-Point, but there can't be many vs. the PC carbines.

If they would dich the dam ruger scope bases/rings and put a wever rail on the front handgaurd and put a decent folding or colapsable stock on it, it would be the most popular pistol cal. carbine available, but they wont do that for some reson.;Q
