View Full Version : "The Weapon" by Michael Z. Williamson
I just finished "The Weapon" by Michael Z. Williamson. It is a Sci-Fi setting, but is really a character novel that could have been set anywhere and anytime in the modern world. Basically it is the story of a young man who joins the army, becomes a special operative and goes deep undercover on another world where he basically becomes a terrorrist working to forward the goals of his homeworld. It is really well written and shows another side to "terrorism" (think of the kids from Red Dawn). I really liked it and would recommend it to just about anyone who is a fan of Sci-Fi or Military Fiction.

Yeah, I read this book you. I like his work. And it was thought provoking too.
I saw this up at Barnes and Noble the other day, and almost picked it -- it looked interesting. Unfortunately, they didn't have a copy of it in paperback, and those hardcover prices kill me; would you say it's "good enough" to justify a hardcover price? I've got about $5 on a gift card left...

It's an excellent book, as are all by Williamson. Another alternative is used from Addall: http://www.addall.com I picked up the hardcopy of "The Weapon" for about $5.
