Well you guys helped out so much with the first question ((98 or regular MK40) I have a important question that I can't answer.
Bought via the forum a MK40 manufactured 2/8/2000 w/ night sites.
It just arrived at my FFL dealer last night where we both inspected it.
Everything seems alright however the trigger seems a little strange.
(Note:This is an empty gun)
Nothing too strange, however when the gun is cocked , I pull the trigger the firing pin engages I release the trigger and at the trigger reset there is an audible "click". I compared it to my FFL's PM9 where it is smooth and there is no "click".
I contacted Dottie at Kahr about it yesterday, and she got back to me this morning stating
" The click you here is not normal and likely means the trigger bar is engaging only intermittently. Your gun needs service but is not under warranty."- Could it be something else?
Since I already started the DROs yesterday I am a bit concerned that this will require a cash outlay, and that the problem was not disclosed (or maybe unnoticed) by the seller.
If a replacement Elite 98 trigger set should remedy the problem I will feel comfortable, if not I will return the gun..
Any help would be greatly appreciated..
