Hi,
I wanted to know if the pm9 (silver) slide is stainless steel or not. I know the pm9 dlc black slide is stainless steel but not sure if the pm9 silver slide is. Thanks!

They are both stainless steel.

As Yukon' said, but there are black slides that are not stainless. The two you mention are...
As these other fine folks have indicated they are both stainless. I own a PM9 with the DLC blackened slide. It doesn't wear well (at least mine doesn't). I've not holstered or used the gun that much and I've got wear marks and some minor scratches already. Compared to a Glock, I am disappointed in Kahr's DLC coating. It is no where near as tough, so don't have the same expectations as I did.

I purchased the plain stainless pm9 with night sights. I didn't see any need in paying extra for a finish on steel that is already corrosion resistant. I figured it would eventually wear off anyway. Some people say they want an all black pistol, but I usually don't worry about other people seeing it. It stays in my pocket!!! Everybody has their preference, so it's good that Kahr provides a product for everyone.

Purchased mine about two weeks ago. I have already put 450 rnds thru it without a single problem.

The slide is the last thing that needs to be black in the case where people are concerned about someone seeing their pistol. The slide is mostly in the holster. If anything it's the grip that is best blackin this case.
It's really a non-issue as far as keeping the pistol more concealed IMHO. The only issue maybe the glare you would get off an all bright stainless, chromed or nickled piece during a fight.
I agree with YukonGlocker, it's nice they provide a product for everyone. In my case, the only one available was the blackened slide so I didn't do a lot of research about it, and just thought... no worries it looks fine to me. I just wanted a PM9. I noticed that at the gun shows I only see the blackened slide version on the table about 90% of the time. I'm guessing it's selling better for some reason.
