How are these guys? I recently bought a barrel/upper that was said to be Bushmaster, but it has M1S stamped on the barrel. I can't tell the difference between the upper and the other upper that I bought from Bushmaster. Should I be mad?

FWIW, M1S barrels are not too bad (although Bushy makes a better one), at least when compared to the rest of M1S crap.

It's possible that it is a bushy upper reciever and a M1S barrel, but it's impossible to know whithout seeing it and without knowing who sold it.

I'd bet it's a Bushy upper after reading that ad.

I'd get a refund and spend the extra $20 for a Bushy upper, they are $395 through them without the B/C/CH.

There's no doubt that it is a misleading ad, although you can see what they mean AFTER you get the complete upper.

Do you have the upper? Is it still new and unused?

Did you use a credit card?

If you used a card, send the upper back and do a charge back for the entire cost.

Their ad was fraudulent for not telling you what you were getting.

I'm in the process of doing that.
The upper/barrel was completely new. I never used it. When I sent it back I emailed them to ask if they had refunded it. I emailed again a week later, after that I sent 3 more emails and got no response.
I've placed a few orders through them previously, why they decided to rip me off is beyond me. I also returned a couple other items, so in all I lost $435.

if so, you're not ripped off, and to say you are isn't wise.

they don't make a habit of stealing guns, they have some.

they might steal money, but i suspect that they're in fact gun merchants, and not thieves.

at a gun show, with an unknown stranger, the issue might be in doubt, but Bushmaster has a decent rep, far as I know.

certainly not the sort of rep that'd imply they stole from customers.

that's one heck of an accusation. they're thieves AND stupid? i doubt it.

I'm not ususally a labelwhore, but all my parts and accessories for my AR rifles are Bushmaster. I like Bushmaster's high quality parts and also their customer service. I also like how they may have law enforcement and government contracts, but they are happy to sell all the same rifles and parts to their civilian customers.

This is exactly what it's all about. I wanted Bushmaster quality, and I didn't get what I rightfully purchased. Since then I've only purchased my parts directly through Bushmaster. I'll keep you guys updated.
