Keep in mind, I have NEVER tried this before. How difficult would it be for me to, after purchasing an adjustment/installation tool, install night sights on a Glock? Thanks to you guys I am becoming much more of a do it myselfer when it comes to my pistols, which I appreciate very much! Thanks in advance!
With the proper rear sight tool the answer is "Very Easy". I have changed sights without the rear sight tool but it is much better when you have the tool. It also works well for moving the rear sight for sight alignment at the range when sighting in.
The standard front sight can be pulled off with a pair of pliers or punched out from inside the slide. Most new ones are held on with a nut and some sight makers supply a wrench to install it. If not you will have to buy a nut driver.A drop of clear finger nail polish or blue locktite helps to keep the nut from backing off.
The rear sight is pushed off with the tool and the new sight is pushed in place.(Some have a set screw to secure them and some just use a tight fit)
You can easily do it yourself in just a couple of minutes if you have any mechanical ability at all.
Good Luck!

The stock polymer rear sight can be drifted off with a brass punch, a chopstick, unsharpened #2 pencil, whatever.
Night sights are best installed using a sight tool such as one of the MGW tools here. (http://www.lonewolfdist.com/products.asp?prod=64) Normal sights can be done by someone patient with a brass drift punch, or with the tool described. (You need to get specific about what sights you're looking at for more specific info as there are some idiosyncrasies to each - PM or email me if you want to discuss.) For the night front sights that use a 3/32 hex-headed screw, tiny bit of Loctite on the threads only, not a big glob that carries up into the hole where the screw goes. Ameriglo and Aro-Tek, to name a couple, supply the little shallow-walled nut driver to attach them with.
In many cases, when you buy night sights you can send them your bare slide thru the mail and they'll put them on for you. Otherwise, an armorer at a nearby Glock dealer where you trade might be available to put them on.

I'm having the same problem, except I don't have the sight tool, and all the armorers around here are closed for Christmas. I am pretty sure I can handle everything, except for when I go to adjust the rear sight at the range, how do I go about doing that w/o the sight tool?

If you're talking about factory non-adjustable sights, you can drift them using the methods they described but make sure you take the slide off the pistol. Factory adjustable sights can be dialed in with a small screwdriver. I personally wouldn't beat/drift Trijicons, Meprologhts and any other nigth sights. My range has OEM rear sight tools one can "borrow" ( might charge something but they never had me ), plus I just came into possession of one as well. I would save the smacking around the sights for the workbench, esp if they charge range time by the hour.
