... to machine the rear portion of a Glock slide to the shape of a weaver scope mount? I am seeing more tubeless open red dot sights with built in weaver mounts that weigh just over an ounce and are under two inches long and would like a clean, solid way to mount one as low as possible on my G20. Has anyone here looked into this or seen it done? I have seen Docter sights and J-Points melted into Glock slides, but they have proprietary mounts. If you have your slide machined to fit one of them, they become your only option.
