View Full Version : .25 cent trigger job on the ppk/s?
I've done the .25 cent trigger job on my Glock and it noticeably improved the "smoothness" of the trigger pull. For those who might not know about it, the .25 cent trigger job basically uses fine jewler's rouge to polish the metal parts of the trigger mechanism that rub against each other therefore smoothing out the feel of the Glock trigger pull.
That first DA pull on my ppk/s (S&W version) is very rough. So does anyone know how to do a similar .25 cent trigger job on the ppk/s and can you communicate to me how to do it?
I haven't tried taking apart the trigger mechanism on the ppk/s and wonder what your opinion is on how hard this might be to do for someone who has enough ability to completely strip down his Glock, but who is not an armorer by any means.
Thanks,
Mark

Go for it Iam sure S&W won't charge to much to put back together. This isn't a Glock This design dates back to around 1930 when we had gunsmiths and people were craftsmen. Not this mass produced crap made today. I am really suprised the PPK line even still made.
Dry fire or shoot it. Send to Cyl& Slide for a trigger job around 200 bucks Bout all you can do with it.
The trigger is for fast close SD not target shooting If target at distance cock hammer thats why their on back of pistol and why people have thumbs. Not being a smart a-- but can't see the big to do over a PPK/S DA trigger. Go try the DA trigger on that Commie made Poorly copied PPK worst trigger I ever tried. Yet those owners tell the world how great that commie junk is with its odd ball round. Best PPK clone trigger Bersa. Now were are my meds.
For those that like Russian junk or other iron curtian weapons. Think about this every war we have been in since WW 2 It been their weapons that have killed Americans. In open Battle against us or our allies we have defeated their aircraft tanks and our small arms come out on top in firefights. But Americans flock to buy this crap.

Are you referring to the Makarov?
I felt the same way for a long time.....don't anymore. So, I couldn't blame you for your thinking. When the SKSs were first imported, I refused to think about owning one for the same reasons you wouldn't now. Now, I own a Makarov, SKS, and AK....and have no bad feelings for the weapons themselves. I'd bet millions of them will come on duty in defense of the United States, should the need ever become necessary.....so, it it doesn't matter who used these former communist weapons. That's past history. What matters is who has them now.
The communist weapons are designed to shoot every time.....they do....some of them just don't do it while looking as nice as ours do. I'd be very careful about calling them junk, because they do what they were designed to do.....well.
Hell, I've been shot at by SKSs and AKs myself.....but, that doesn't keep me from owning them on their merits alone.
