What should we call a category with companies like:
Brownells
Midway
Natchez
etc. ?
Thanks for the training links. I hadn't thought to include those with 1911 links, but what the hey training is valuable and it couldn't hurt to include that as a seperate category.
I'll try to locate the links for those additional holster companies, FlaChef, thanks. ^c
Alumagrips is there right at the top of the grip list. Great product btw.
Great link and idea for a "Research" category, Scott. Was thinking that some historic and GI issue info would fit well too.

The holster makers are up. Gemini is there, but I really need to alphabetize that category.
I'm going to put up the mega retailers next, but I'm not sure what to call that category.

Updated to include two new manufacturers and the category of gun auctions and bulletin boards.
Suggest adding Yost-Bonitz (http://www.yost-bonitz.com/products/) under the SIGHTS section, particularly for their nicely done Retro.

that's because i misremmebered the name, it security not safety...

Most of digilights smaller line are designed w/ pistol use in mind, they have several mounting brackets fit for their lights (sold seperately). A couple of the larger ones are also rated for shotgun use. I know a guy from steyrclub who works for them and they sponsor his IDPA and 3-gun habit.

He does great work. A friend of mine had his Kimber worked over by John and it is such a sweet shooter. I've heard though that he has gotten so popular that his lead times are way out there.
He has his own gun lube that is some good stuff as well.

1911 Forums.com is going down hill. Their Moderators are getting a little power crazy over there. I told a guy where he could buy a gun, and they deleted my post! Wow, I just tried to help a brother firearm owner out?
I think that I will just stay with discussions here. You guys are more user friendly.

Yeah I know what you are talking about. A couple of the mods there don't handle their power very judiciously. I watched it grow worse little by little over time and eventually just stopped visiting. There were a few other forums I visited regularly too, but now I'm back to my first and still best, imo, forum here on GT.

All links have been added. I'll try to go through the links now and then and see if they are still operable and edit as needed. I will try to post the main homepage of the website as that is the page whose address is least likely to change.
If you find a bad link please let me know and check if the basic root of the address is viable if you can.
THANKS! :patriot:
