I'm not very sure about scope magnification? I simply want a good scope for range/plinking. I like this scope...
Bushnell 3-9X32 Sportsman (the silver goes nice with the stainless steel on the Ruger)
... is that okay for my Ruger 10/22? How do you read the magnification, ex. 9x32 ? Any better scope recomendation? Thanks folks!

For what you want to use it for, plinking or range.
For small game hunting I like the Bushnell Trophy in 1 to 5.

A 3-9x32 is a scope that has a magnification range of three to nine power. The 32 represents the physical size of the objective lens. I have 4 power scopes on both of my .22s. The scope that you are looking at should suffice for your needs unless you want to invest more money to get a scope that is opticaly clearer.

Ditto!

After using a 3x9 power scope on a .22 cal, for years, I found it to be way overkill. I now use a low power, fixed 2.5x, scopes myself and like them a lot more. ;f ;)

I've had that scope on my 10/22 for years. Works great, and you're right, it does look good in that combo.
