It's the AK75 de-milled kit from AIM.
I'm an AK newbee, so take it easy. I don't care about making it original, I just want to blast ammo in local 3 gun matches.
Plus, AK's are cool.
I am new to them too but...
You should need a Receiver and a US compliance parts group and maybe a rivet kit or bolt kit if you are going to bolt it together.
I'd just buy a new, unCUT AK.
That way you have some legal protection should problems with the gun or the importer arise.
The only parts rifle most folks should undertake building is an AR.
Unless you have a fully-equipped gunshop I'd pass even if they were $50.
Don't let anyone discourage you. These kits are relatively easy to assemble with minimum tools as long as you have some mechanical ability.
You'll need:
Receiver ($75)
Fire Cotrol group ($35)
US Gas Piston ($15)
US Pistol grip ($10)
US Slant Brake ($10)
For tooling, You'll need:
Barrel puller from Autozone ($20)
Bolt Cutter from H/F ($15)
You should be able to assemble one of these kits for a total cost of $250 or so, including the price of the kit. Plus, you'll get the satisfaction of building it yourself and owning a rifle that always goes bang!!!!
always
The AK can be built with basic shop tools, but it's not as easy as some would have you believe. One should have a good foundation in metal working and basic firearm assembly (building firearms that is).
You'll also need a drill press to remove the rivets from the barrel & butt stock trunnions. Probably want a bench grinder and/or an angle grinder to remove the trunnions from the receiver remnants. You'll also need a good set of rivet punches if you deceide to build with rivets. You could always go utra red neck and use screws instead of rivets. Be careful removing the trigger guard and magazine catch. Those little rivets can be pesky. Don't let anyone fool you, it's rather difficult to align the mag catch on a new receiver. After all, no one makes a Romanian type 75 specific receiver. You're building the rifle on a generic piece of stamped sheet metal. If you mess up riveting the barrel trunnion in the receiver, the receiver is pretty much toast. You'll need a mandrel, vise, set of metal working hammers, scribe, compass, a basic knowledge of geometry. (Hmmm sounds like I've done this before).
Better off buying a $300 WASR or SAR. If one buys a Romo parts kit in case their barrel gets shot out on their AK, you're wasting your time. Changing barrels on a stamped receiver is an art form few have mastered. Better off building a whole new rifle.

+1
With some basic mechanical ability and the info available here http://www.gunco.net/forums/index.php it is not all that difficult.
I have built several, I even take it one step further and build my own receivers as well.
