Need Help on cleaning out computer!!!

I am selling my HP notebook on Ebay. How can I erase all of my personal information? System restore always can bring back that info. Is there a way to wipe it out? Personal files, passwords, pictures is what I want to get rid of. THANKS!!!!

You should have a CD from HP that you can use to reformat the whole computer. Similar to system restore... ??

What cd's do you have?

My last computer had a System Restore cd. All I have are these 2:

1-Appliation and Driver Recovery DVD- I used that one, but it still had my personal info on it.

2-Operating System CD, Service pack 2.

Neither of these worked to erase my info.

Operating System CD. Pop that sucker in there, start up your computer and do a clean reinstall of Windows.

Before you put the OS CD in and reinstall, first download Eraser (http://www.heidi.ie/eraser/download.php) and create a Nuke Boot Disk. This will SECURELY wipe any of your information off of all of the hard drives it finds. It will take a while to run, but it's well worth it.

Then and only then, reinstall the OS.
