I used 175 Silvertips in my 6" G20 this year in Ohio Gun Season; it went through both shoulders and exited on a 8pt buck. He went about 30 yards and expired.
Later on I hit a doe with the same load and she was dropped in her tracks DRT.
Range on both shots was about 20 yards with quartering away shots from a tree stand on stationary deer.
I didn't notice a differnce in terminal performance from my SW 29 .44 mag.
