A lot of questions on a Maadi..

First question is did I get a good deal. I picked up the following for 125.00 about a year ago and just now starting to think about changing a few things.

Was this a good price for the following, like new, and I mean like new with not even any scrape marks from the safety on the side.

Markings are: ACC , INT/INTRAC/ KNOX, TN/ EGYPT on one side
other side marks are: ARM Semi Automatic, Caliber 7.62x39, Maadi Company, Made in Egypt.

S/N: AC0059xxx

Date inside the man in the rocking chair is- 93.
So that is my first question, was this a good deal?

Second question is, I'm thinking of replacing the thumbhole stock with a black polymer, including the upper and lower handguards and pistol grip from K-Var. It is Nato length. They say it will work on a stamped receiver. How do I tell what type of receiver I have??

As far as parts counts, I have already replaced the FCG a Tapco.

I have yet to shoot this AK, but I do have 10- 30 round bulgarian mags, plus 10-10 round mags, fully loaded with an additonal 500 rounds standing by:)

oh, I forgot to mention, that it came with a B-scope mount already installed on it.

Yes you did great on the price. The Maddi is the closest you can get to a Russian, it is rough but one of the best AK's. Your receiver is stamped. Now Stock replacement is questionable not sure, I am trying to remember the company that makes the ploy's thay used to advertize in S/G news but haven't seen them in some time thing it was MGB. I owned a Maadi but traded it and a romanian both stamped for a milled Bulgy. When I go home in the morn I'll look and see if I still have the adress for that stock co. I am sure either KVAR or maybe Globe will have a set to fit yours. Keep in mind with the help of Mr. Dremel you can make alot of stuff fit. hope this helps some. Reggie

Yes 93 ARM's are very good, under the muzzle device are threads, dremel it off and contact factory10@aol.com for a same colored slant comp, go to www.ar15.com equipment exchange board and find a stock and black plastic hand grip, you'll be good to go.

You have a stamped european receiver so K-var plastic US Stock will do nicely, try www.ak-47.net, they have a nice Maadi forum.
