View Full Version : Install BarSto - factory or Gunracing?
I'm finishing up my G35 project and it's time to have a ported fitted barrel installed. BarSto sells their barrels for $215, but so does Gunracing.com. The difference is BarSto wants $100 to fit it and Gunracing only wants $55. Who would do a better job?
Excellent accuracy is the main objective.
Thanks,

Are you talking about Matt at www.customglock.com? If so, I'd personally go that route. Matt will treat you right, is knowledgable, good customer service, and has been a frequent poster on this forum for years. I've personally had nothing but good experiences with him and frankly have rarely or never heard of anyone who's had a bad one.

I believe barso has some "recommended" dealers who fit their barrels.
CGR is one, I know there's another one that is active on this board but I can't remember off the top of my head.
Yes. CGR's web page Gunracing.com. Same guy as far as I know.
I have heard good things about CGR over the years and even bought some parts from them.
I just wonder who would have better expertise in fitting a match Glock barrel: a Glock expert like Matt or a barrel expert like Bar Sto?
Has anyone had a barrel installed by either (or both) and can compare?
I have fitted a Wilson barrel to my G21 and routinely get 1 inch (5 shot) groups at 25 yards and 4-inch groups (handheld) at 50. I'm looking for the same accuracy for my G35.
Thanks!
no reservations at all about letting CGR work on my guns.

I've heard top/national competitors at USPSA/IPSC say Matt knows his stuff.
Sounds good. Unless someone can tell me that BarSto is somehow better, I think I'll give Matt a call.

While we would be happy to fit one of our barrels for you, Matt is one of only a couple of people who we would recommend.............
Had a Bar-Sto fitted to my 17L 1 1/2 years ago by Irv Stone at Bar-Sto, many rounds through gun and it's still tighter then a ducks butt in a winter pond. Only problem is that I can't blame the gun now when I muck up.
