What are the pros and cons of a patridge-type front sight versus a ramp-type front sight? I have poor eyesight and am thinking of what's the best iron-sights setup for my S&W revolver (don't want to go red-dot, that's a bit overkill for the moment.)

Got a ramp-type sight right now, with an orange insert. Still hard to see.

Are there revolver sights in the market that have fiber optic inserts? I think that could aid you in finding the front sight of your revolver quick.

isuzu is right, fiber optic is the way to go. Any competent gunsmith can make one for your revolver.

You can probably see a partridge front sight better compared to a ramped type. Only con i can think of is it's easier to snag the sight from the holster or clothing when drawing the gun.
