I thought the compensator was for muzzle climb and had nothing to do with flash.
Could anyone help me out here.
I am thinking about ordering this (link below)

The only thing the slant brake does is compensate for climb and movement to the right during FA fire. It's more for looks on a semi. As for the flash, the only difference is that it concentrates the spewing muzzle fire into a ball.
However the good boys and girls at ATF have classified it as a "flash hider" so that's where the BS terminology comes from. Should call it "slant brake" and leave it at that.
