I sent my non-geek brother to WorstBuy to pick up some sale parts and XP so he could play Civ IV on his desktop. I know we could have done better pricewise onLine, but we were in a hurry and his Internet is a POS.
Anyway, the onLine part of BB said they were out of stock of WinXP home upgrades. I assumed this was a computer/clerical error. Incorrect -- BB, Office Depot and OfficeMax by his home in CA were all out. They had large floor displays, but no product. WTF? Were there rumors of an SPA door-to-door sting in San Pedro?
