Sign up here if you are interested in a Desert Eagle club. The only other DE forum online isn't very active anymore and there is definitely more traffic here.

We need 50 to sign up so call all your friends and neighbors.

Sign me up, but not if this includes baby eagles. I just don't think they are in the same class.

I guess I would be Desert Eagle Forum Member 2.

Yup - limp wristing a 50AE-DEP is not in the glossary! Only normal grip (bad), and extreme duty grip (choking the life out of a pissed off black mamba)!

Oh jezzz, did I actually start a DE discussion without an actual forum!!!;P

A .44 Mag may expand but a .50AE will never shrink.;f

Who needs a forum? We'll just make one great big hairy thread.

Jbar4Ranch

In line with falsememory's post, how about an "Over .45 Club" of some sort instead? This would be handguns only, ostensibly in calibers over .452"/.454", but still include the .460 S&W, and possibly the .454 Casull, but exclude single shot muzzleloading pistols. Since the DE frame isn't specifically dedicated to the .44 mag or .50AE, I suppose the lowly .44 mag DE could be included, cuz everyone that has the .44 is eventually going to step up to the .50 anyway. ;)

I'm in the Over .45 Club with:

8 3/8" S&W X-frame .500
4" S&W X-frame .500
7 1/2" Freedom Arms .50AE (Soon a .500 Wyoming Express cylinder too)
6" Desert Eagle w/.50AE & .44 mag barrels
7 1/2" Ruger SRH .480
5 1/2" Ruger Bisley BH .475 Linebaugh
10 1/2" BFR .45-70

JBar4Ranch,
Man you're sure into heavy metal. And I thought I was out of control - just borderline now.
Off Topic but interesting history in Helena as being the training ground for the US and Canadian Special Service Force, i.e., Devil's Brigade and Forcemen.

Jbar4Ranch

Yep, Fort Harrison and the Moose Creek training camp below the old mining town of Rimini west of Helena. The Moose Creek camp has long been used by the Boy Scouts as a winter camp due to the old barracks buildings still there. I stayed there many times when I was a Scout in the late 60's & early 70's.

Has someone voluteered to Mod the forum ?

I'm sure Eric has his hands full, and adding another forum and thus adding to his baby-sitting duties might not be too high on the prioroty list.

In any event, drop him or Eddie another PM or e-mail.

They aren't known for ignoring reasonable requests, probably just busy.

The G-21 forum is about to get set up before this one, and we only tried to get that started just weeks ago! What's going on w/ the DE forum?

BigSlick
10-25-2006, 11:53
Looks like there might be a holdup.

It doesn't take this long to add a sub forum.

Maybe Eddie can tell us something.

We have 50 members, and a lot of interest.

Maybe we haven't followed protocol.

Eddie ? Can you give us a suggestion here ?

Thanks

BigSlick and at least 49 others ;)
