Anybody got a trick to remove a Glock channel liner without destroying it?I know you can run a lag bolt in there to grip it to pull it out but it wrecks the part.I can't find the part locally and do not want to pay shipping for a $2 part.
Why do you wish to remove it? I've never had the need to remove one during the nine years I've been a Certified Glock Armorer.

I'm removing it because I had it hard-chromed about 2 months ago.Theres some chipping on the out side of the ejection port so I'm sending it back to have it re-done.Something to do with the electrical current when it was chromed. The company that finished it stands behind there product and is going to take care of it.
Anyway I need to get the liner out.I could order a new one from LW if need be but I'm trying to find a way around having to replace the part. Not a big deal but if I can save $6 or so I would like to do so.Any suggestions?
I know of no way to remove it without damaging it.

Just leave it in. If it needs replacing you will know it after it is rechromed.

I left it in during the first go around. They did remove it but somehow it got covered with some residue that made the inside of the liner rough.I replaced it.I'll probably just order one from LW.I could use a few other parts to keep on hand anyhow.
But there has to be someway to get it out without mucking it up.

Danny's right. Don't mes with trying to reinstall the old one. Pull it out with a 5/16" lag bolt and replace it. Remember, beveled end in first.

Thanks man.It worked like a charm.I used a 9mm bronze brush.Slid it into the firing pin channel so that about a 1/4" of the brush was in the liner.Gave it about 1/4 turn and it pulled right out.I inspected the liner and its in perfect condition.Great advice.
Glad to be of service.
That will be $13.50 please. ;)
