Howdy all,
I am new to the 10 and I look forward to really getting into it. I just purchased a Glock 20 and haven't even shot it yet.
I wanted something with a little more oomph than my .40 or .357 had.
Reading your threads here made me choose the 10 over the .41 mag.
Can I play, too?
P.S. Yes, I am a girl and we like to shoot too. :)

Hey, welcome to the 10Ring, where all things good reside. :)
Great choice for your first Ten. Notice I say first, since its been scientifically proven that more will follow.
I recommend Doubletap Ammo www.doubletapammo.com
Also good are Texas Ammo and Buffalo Bore.
If you just wanna plink, DT Ammo has a great deal on bulk full power practice ammo, or you could go with just about ANY run-o-tha-mill ammo for practice and be happy.
Don't worry about making mods to your G20 right away. Many will tell you to change this, change that. Not really necessary IMHO at least right away. Just SHOOT IT and have fun, then shoot it some more.
Here's a taste of what a 10mm addiction will do to a stock Glock 20 with time:

Thanks, Nick. My Model 20 is the green one like that but not an extended slide. I am going to the range with it for the first this weekend.
Welcome to the 10 ring, Enjoy your Glock.
You will find we have several ladies here that grace us with their presence, Susan 28 and G33 are two that come to mind quickly :)
Your choice in handguns shows you are a woman of great intelligence.

Alright, another Texas 10-Ringer! I was in El Paso a little over a year ago. I had never been there before and I had a lot of fun. Juarez is a little scary though.
Congratulations on your G20 (that's the next GLOCK on my list).

I know what you mean. I live and I don't go to Juarez more than once a year.
Thanks for the welcome guys!:)
In a couple of weekends I am going to hit the gunshow to see what I can find for brass and bullets. I might come out a little ahead w/o having to pay shipping.

Ok, I admit it. I have been without a Glock for about 2 years now since I traded my G19. Well, now I'm back in the Glock club cause I just purchased a new G20 with 3 each 15 round mags for $475.:)
This makes 10MM #2. 1006 is the other. Reloads for the 1006 might be sticky in the factory Glock barrel so I'll have to proceed with caution.
Fun stuff!
Girls + shooting = Perfection!;f ;a
You will have much fun with you G20.

I just got back from Telephone, TX. I used my 10mm for some hunting and had a great time!

Thanks guys. I shot my 10mm for the first time this past weekend. Where is the vicious recoil that I read about? I have read here that factory ammo is loaded down. I was using Remington and PMC. Neither had the recoil of my .357 mag.
I started reloading about 3 months ago. 38/.357 was easy. It took a few days to get .40 down but, now it is fine. Next, I will start on the 10mm. I am going to the gunshow on the 4th to see if I can find some reasonbly priced.
Matt, Texas is a great place to live.
Thanks for the welcome everyone. :)
Now when you are looking for really GOOD factory 10mm ammo, this is where you need to look

I couldn't have said it better... My wife will shoot some of my 10's (mostly the ones with the smaller grips like the 1911's). Here's a toast ;Y to women that aren't afraid to try our beloved 10mm's! So, let me get this straight, women can shoot the 10mm, but one of our countries most noted investigating agency has recruits that can't handle it. More power to our 10-ring gals!
