Haven't fired it yet, but it certainly feels a little different.

The big difference is in the way it feels in the holster. The rounded butt is very comfortable.

Going shooting tomorrow...:cool:

Looks great! One of the things I really like about the bobtail is that it doesn't catch on clothing or imprint nearly as much as a standard 1911.

Who did the bob-job?

I've got one of the DW 10mm C-BOB's and really like it.

Sent my IAI Commander-size 45 to one of the GT members (CCR??) and had it bobbed. Top notch work.

Okay, put 100 rounds though the "new" pistol yesterday and felt no difference. I use a high grip, but Craig Perry who did the work did notice a difference in POA for him because the heel of the butt was not pushing the muzzle up.

It took him a few rounds to get use to it, then he was fine.

The beauty of this mod is the difference in carry. I can feel the difference in not having the "point" pressing into my side.

For reference I carry in a Sidearmor IWB with a 15 degree cant.
