Well technically I guess it's a WASR-10 but whatever ;f

Paid $319 for it with 2 mags, sling, bayonet etc...
It's a Century from Romania, can't wait to shoot it in the next few weeks, heck I've never even shot an AK before ;a
Thoughts/Comments?
What should I do to this thing?
Buy more ammo. If you can find any Barnaul Brown Bear--get it. It is cleaner that Wolf, and, at least in my AK, more accurate.
I just picked up 16 ga shotgun brush for cleaning gas tube. It is a very tight fit, but I think it will work well.

Good luck getting ANY ammo right now. I wrote the U.S. distributer for Brown Bear and got a reply today. He said they simply had a large in country order for their own militay and it would be another 45 to 60 days. I have found that my AK shoots fairly well with any brand ammo. My SKS however only likes the good stuff.
Go by Academy and pick up some of the Monarch in the 20rnd boxes. Its fairly cheap (2.87 a box I think), and made by Barnaul.
Wolf is good too so buy that stuff in bulk if you find it for a decent price.

Congrats. You may also find www.ak-47.net useful. Many of the AK variants are imported with poorly machined fire contol parts. Do a search on this site and you can fix any trigger slap that it may have.
I have many different AKs but the Romanian is a fun shooter.

one of my SAR-1's or the Romanian 7.62x39 has been used and abused. I ran over 20K rounds through it before I cleaned it. (I initially put axel grease on the slide and bolt). The extractor finally broke. I replaced it and it runs like new. The sloppy tolerances make for a very tough, extreme ammo eating rifle.
