Read it many years ago. I believe it was the basis for the Charlton Heston film "Omega Man". You're right, great book.

I really liked I Am Legend, very entertaining. I'm not a big fan of Richard Matheson's other books though.
The Omega Man was a pretty good adaptation, it made me want to wear a gun belt with a tracksuit.

Another film adaptation was "The Last Man on Earth" with Vincent Price. Good book.

Personally the movie made me want to put on a crushed velvet smoking jacket, cravat and get a BAR with an IR scope to finish of the ensemble. Of course this is acceptable attire at only the classiest of ranges.;a
