Anyone have any experience with these? I am wondering about reliablity etc. Is $450 shipped a fair price for one one of these New in Collector Grade?

I used to have one, as long as you stick with the factory fixed mag they are reliable. I would say $450 shipped is about $200 too much IMO, new or not.

I saw one at a local shop here that went for around $250. Nice rifle, thought about it but passed. Would be open to getting one in the future though. It was in mint shape with a cosmo like grease still in the action. So I also think that might a little optimistic on the sellers part. Just MHO.

I was looking to buy one of these recently but settled on a standard para model with the 10rd mag. I couldn't find an M or D model for under $325. I think $450 is pretty high but isn't a completly crazy price if it's in mint condition I guess. For that much I'd rather get an AK.

OK, I thought you were talking about one with the shorter barrel, like in the pic below. I suppose that the M or D model NIB is probably close to that in price.

Howdy,
Is it the Planet of the Apes gun or is it the one w/ the monte carlo stock?
I have one w/ a monte carlo stock and is a great gun! It takes the same mags as my Norinco AK-47 underfolder. I opened up the stock so it would take the 75rd drum. I shot over 5,000rds through mine and it works great. I've killed a deer w/ it an even shot down an oak tree (don't ask why).
I paid $120 for mine but that was in '93
