View Full Version : KKM G21 10mm conversion and spring weights?
I have recently aquired a KKM 10mm barrel for my G21. As near as I can ascertain, the G20 and G21 use the same weight of recoil spring. Yet I have read people hereabouts making reference to changing recoil springs with this type of conversion. So far I have only used light loads in my 10mm barrel. No malfunctions so far. Is it really necessary to change the stock recoil spring for a #22 spring? Your comments and experieces are requested.

ColoradoGlocker,
Thanks! I'll have to get a 22# spring and Stainless rod. I did reload some fairly hot 180 gr. stuff. I did have a few malfunctions. The light loaded 170 gr. LSWC stuff had no problems, though. So it seems to be working out as you suggest.

(They really need a Cav smiley, i.e., Smiley with Cavalry Guidon-red over white swallowtail flag with crossed sabers! Now THAT would be cool!)
