View Full Version : Cor-Bon 125gr. JHP
Just found these at Natchezss.com, and ordered a box. I'm not all that familiar with AK (7.62x39) ammo and was surprised at this round. Is it new? Anyone familiar with it?
Thanks.
Desperate for 7.62X39 eh? I have shot a little bit of this ammo and found it to be decent. Accuracy wise it seemed to be a little less accurate than Wolf. Expansion wise it was pretty good. It really tore up water jugs and left a nice big exit hole on a huge ground hog at about 50 yards. I think it would be good SHTF ammo or close range medium game round, but it is expensive.

I've been waiting 'till they came in, and they just did. It looks like the same basic design as the Wolf HPs, where the cavity's purpose has more to do with aerodynamics than expansion. I thank you very much for your observations because I might have assumed there would be no difference in expansion, which was the whole purpose of my getting them. I'm just going to keep them water tight for, as you say, a SHTF situation. :-)
Thanks again.
