I'm surprised there's no MP5 threads in the "H&K Club".

BTW, can I be a club member without a number?
That is because it's H&K only dog of a gun and no one in their right mind would own one. :)

PS: Check out my list of firearms below before you take me too serious.

I'm glad there aren't.
Every gunshop commando would be innundating the board with his/her exploits. Same with mall ninjas.
Novices without sufficient funds would be constantly asking how to get one and how to go through the ATFE paperwork.
It gets too old - far too quick.
Numbers? Who needs a number?

Well, I guess that answers my question. :)
Based upon your photo ... it appears to be an HK MP5 K
As well, the forend suggest that it might be a clone ... perhaps it's just the photo ...

Looks like a k with a PDW barrel.
A orginal K looks like this:

Hey R. Gibson
Now everyone has me wondering. I see what looks like an endcap laser and the three lug is a nice touch for many cans but others got me wondering now about the foregrip. If that is an endcap laser is that the activator switch in the fore grip giving it that look, it looks very rubbery for some reason.

Just curious --- how much do they go for? Are they legal in most of the gun-friendly states?
TacticalShot you can go on my site www.mdwguns.com and in the "Class III" section I have listed the differences in the states.
Now this MP5k is only a post dealer sample. Meaning, IF I ever give up my FFL, I have to distroy or give up this gun.
Nice website. I see you are a bit of a Gemtech man yourself.

PS: Quick question. I see a box of +P+'s by your MP5K, I know that unless the gun is a "F’ed" (not what you all think, mod to the gun, means Frenched) anything over 147 grain is a bad idea. I was told that even a +P was bad for the same reasons (too much pressure, very hard on the host firearm). Am I wrong on the +P and +P+ issue or is it sort of an unrelated cool gun, cool ammo pic?

Yeah, the rubbery thing is a laser pressure switch for the regular MP5, which didn't work in my K version. To keep it smaller, I was hoping I could leave the smaller foregrip that came with it. The K version laser only works with the verticle foregrip. Notice I updated the photo below.

Correct, it's a K version, imported by Bobcat Weapons Inc. AZ as model BW-89 SP.

Yeah, yeah, we all know you want one. ;f
I made an "MP5K Dissassembly" page, if it can help anyone.

not an MP5, but a UMP .40
all our MP5s got replaced with UMPs a few years ago.
pic taken with my cellphone, sorry.

How do you like this over the MP5??
well, for some reason, the loaded UMP feels lighter than the loaded MP5, even though it's in .40. The MP5s were suppressed, the UMPs aren't. We had tac lights/lasers on the MP5s, but haven't gotten around to getting them for the UMPs.
We do like the UMPs, don't get me wrong, but we were all more accurate with the MP5s, but then again, we were all more accurate with the 9mms.
Now, the G36, that we like. Wish we could afford more than one of them, but we got the Bushmaster M4s cheap.
We currently have, if i can remember right,
one G36, eight M4s, five UMPs, four Benelli semi-auto shotguns, and of course, everyone carries whatever handguns they are departmentally issued plus a backup handgun.
