Hello.

Link to the picture using a web site address. Surround the address with tags. Note that the address has to end with .jpg or .gif. Otherwise it will just link to a web address.

Example (do this without spaces):

http://www.busybeescrochet.com/images/ladysmith/toile/4.jpg

This will show up like this:

http://www.busybeescrochet.com/images/ladysmith/toile/4.jpg

You can get free photo hosting from http://www.photobucket.com or other places you can find through google.

<img src="http://www.busybeescrochet.com/images/ladysmith/toile/4.jpg" width="637" height="448" alt="Link to CMama's Pic"></img>

< img src="http://fake.address/fakepic/jpg" width="picWidth" height="picHeight"></img>

Html will also get the job done. Be sure your link is valid and you have the bandwidth.

Using codes that one would use in making webpages also works, but if you don't know the codes, don't worry about it.

When you are typing up messages, look above the message box where you type.

See the vB Code section directly above where you type your reply?

There are buttons you can click and one is IMG. Copy the web address of the image you want to use, click the IMG button and paste the web address into the box that comes up.

Sorry. I meant if you know HTML tags then you can use them. They're easy to learn and only about 50 of them and most you don't need if you don't plan on making websites or use an editor. ;)

In my previous example I find that it is easier to skip width/height attributes as it is automatically done. I'm sure there are cases where it is needed. The end tag on the forums isn't generally needed either.

Ex:
Omit
width="blah" height="blah"
< /img>

leaving just < img src="http://link">
