Change your avatar

Here's how to change your avatar (the graphic below your name on the left).

Click on the USER CP button near the top center of the screen (left most one on that row of grey buttons on the right above).

Click on EDIT OPTIONS.

Scroll to the bottom.

Click on CHANGE AVATAR.

Enter the URL of the avatar you want to use such as http://webprofessor.org/avatar/dress2.gif
near the bottom where it says "You can enter an URL of your avatar"

Click SUBMIT MODIFICATIONS button.

I loaded an avatar for my hubby, since he likes eagles.

But I have a question, I don't know if you will be able to answer. Since both my husband and I use the same name on this board, is it possible to load two avatars under the name?

Probably not, but I thought I would ask anyway.

i think only one avatar at a time will work... and if you go in and change it to something you like, then every post (including old ones) under that nick will have the new avatar...

why not get your own nickname? Mrs. Glockrunner? glockrunnerette? glockrunneress?

I was just curious anyway. I like eagles too, but since there are two of us that use the same name, I didn't know if we could both have an avatar.

I thought once of having my own nickname, but the GT board only recognizes Glockrunner. I tried a couple ways of getting on to this board, through my yahoo account, but I guess because we both use the same e-mail address on our server, the GT board only recognizes that one server, or something like that.

It really doesn't bother me that we both are Glockrunner. I'm not on the board as much as he is anyway. I just pop on once in a while to see what is going on.

I read that you are from Alabama. Do you shoot in competition? If so, will you be going to the Jacksonville shoot in January? Just wondering. We will be there on that Saturday.

thank you for the avatar info! you've made some great avatars!! how do you "make avatars" such as yours???? i only have a measley little imac, so perhaps i should be asking where else can I uuuhhhh 'borrow' avatars from?? ;9

You can make avatars with any reasonably good graphics program. I use PhotoImpact, but just about any good graphics program that allows for text manipulation and saving in small file size GIF files will do.

I'm sorry, but i don't speak "mac." However, there are plenty of graphics programs for the mac, i think. Graphics is one of the strengths of apple's computers, supposedly.
