Good Afternoon,
I have been pondering picking-up one of the Tactical Light & Laser combos out there for fun. To be honest they are not the most practical thing to have on a defensive handgun considering it gives the badguy a target to shoot at. But it does have an intimidation factor to it. Either way, I won't open up that can of worms.
I am pondering the new M6X that I found for $385 from TopGlock, the stock $295 Glock setup, and finally the more expensive Insight Technologies piece. It looks as if the M6X has a 125 lumens bulb. How is the overall quality in these products?

I just got an M6-X. It turns on that's for sure. I haven't shot with it yet but I want to say that the zero on the laser drifts a little on me. As I said, though, I haven't shot it yet and this will be more scrutinized when I have it in those conditions. The light is pretty bright and you can adjust the focus of the beam which is pretty cool. I have a surefire rated at 65 lumens and to tell you the truth, having shown both of them in my own eyes, I can't really tell the difference except to say that they are blinding. The laser is top notch. This is especially apparent in the light/laser mode where I thought the laser might be washed out in the light field... not so. Very defined and focused. If you've got the cash and like the features, buy an M6-X. If I had a Glock, I'd probably be happy with a Glock light as far as aesthetics are concerned. But I don't think that would have looked too cool on my Sig, so I went with the Streamlight. You can find it on outdoorpioneer.com for $351 delivered if it's in stock.
I have an M6. Works perfect every time. I have not had to adjust the laser since I got it zeroed (about 6 months ago) and usually put a few rounds a week downrange with it (just for practice)
The only negative is that I have gone through 1 light bulb. Not from using it all the time, but I think from shooting with it regularly. I figured the light would last a little longer.
Anyways, I am a huge rail fan and really like the light/laser combo.

I have a regular M6 and I love it. I use it for night matches. It does take some time getting the laser sighted in and learning to shoot with the laser. I think I was getting sloppy with the follow through thinking I had the shot called with the laser. I got it figured out now.

Above is a vid of me running and gunning with the m6.

Thanks for the feedback folks !!!
So can you zero the laser with a bore sight?

JR
Many laser aiming devices can be sighted in by turning two tiny set screws. This is the case with the M6. I just adjusted the dot to just above my front sight at 20 yards. This is the normal 6:00 hold I use with iron sights. After that it was just a little fine tuning to figure out point of impact at various ranges.
