View Full Version : SIG GSR Nitron question...
I though that Nitron was a type of polymer? So are the GSR Notron guns polymer framed or is it a polymer type based finish or what?
TED
Nitron is an option for the metal finish on SIG guns.
It is fairly durable and rust resistant, though IMO not as tough as some other finishes out their. (both my glock and beretta finsishes stood up better than my 226 with the nitron finish)
I think you may have it confused with nylon polymer which is the type of plastic used in polymer framed guns
Glock handgunns and most other are made from a derivitative of nylon-6 polymer,
